We Care About Where Our Eggs Come From
International Training Center (ITC) Cage-free Innovation and Welfare Hub is a management training center for cage-free laying hens which was built by the UGM Faculty of Animal Science in collaboration with Global Food Partners, and AERES University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Apart from being a training ground, ITC Cage-Free Innovation and Welfare Hub also has the capacity to be a model farm that carries out the egg production process with a cage-free system with a capacity of 3000 birds. Located in Kalijeruk, Kepanewonan Ngemplak, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, ITC Cage-Free Innovation and Welfare Hub is the first cage-free system model farm in ASEAN.
Empowering Sustainable Farming Practices
The ITC Cage-Free Innovation and Welfare Hub was built to facilitate layers poultry farmers, academics, and animal science students to practice cage- free farming. This facility is also open to anyone else, including government agencies and other stakeholders, both for domestic and foreign participants. In addition, this facility is also a great place to practice cage-free system management.
